FPI Digital Certificate Powered by PrivySeal®

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance your experience and deliver value – driven innovation, we are thrilled to announce that we have joined forces with the PrivySeal® to launch: FPI Digital Certification for all RFP® and FSA® professional members .

FPI is committed to providing you with the tools to advance your career and communicate your RFP® and FSA® certification and in so doing we are providing our RFP® and FSA® professionals with free digital credentials.

What is the FPI digital certificate, and how is it different from the old version?
The FPI digital certificate powered by PrivySeal® is an electronic version of your FPI professional designation certificate. It includes a real-time, dynamic Seal and Certificate that reflects your current registration and compliance status with the FPI.

Each certificate includes a unique QR code containing redacted contact details, ensuring registered persons keep their information updated with FPI. Unlike PDF or paper certificates, it cannot be falsified or become outdated. If your membership is terminated due to non-payment of fees, non-compliance with CPD requirements, or disciplinary action, your Seal and certificate will be revoked, prompting you to contact FPI. There will also be a legal block on the FPI CRM system.

When will the digital certificates be rolled out?
FPI will launch the digital certificates on 1st November 2025 for all active FSA® (FINANCIAL SERVICES ADVISOR®) and RFP® (REGISTERED FINANCIAL PRACTITIONER®) professional members.

Do I need to obtain the new digital credential before 1 January 2026?
Yes. Current certificates will remain valid until 31 December 2025. From 1 January 2026, only digital certificates will be recognised. All RFP® and FSA® professional members must update their contact details via the FPI Portal  Link before 1 January 2026.

Will I still receive a physical certificate after my renewal is confirmed?
No. From the date of rollout, FPI will no longer issue physical certificates. The digital certificate will be the only accepted proof of professional membership.

Can I still use my existing paper certificate?
Paper certificates will remain proof of historical registration but will no longer reflect your current compliance or good standing. Only the digital certificate will display your live registration status.

What do I need to do to receive my digital certificate?

  • Update your details / email address and mobile number on the FPI Self-Service Portal.
  • Confirm your employer details.
  • Monitor your email for activation links from FPI and PrivySeal®. Please check your junk mailbox and ensure that FPI and PrivySeal® are not blocked by your server.

What happens if I do not update my details?

If your details are outdated, your certificate will show incorrect contact information, which can negatively impact verification by prospective employers or any other interested party.
