Speakers:
Lelané Bezuidenhout, CFP®
Lelané has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. During these years she fulfilled many roles, with her latest role being the CEO of the Financial Planning Institute. Her strengths are Leadership, Mentoring, Coaching, Learner and Relator which explains why she loves connecting the dots and fixing broken processes and systems. Being focused, firm, but kind is the normal way she deals with complex situations. Lifelong learning is also one of her mottos as we can never know it all.
Cynthia Schoeman
Cynthia is the founder and Managing Director of Ethics Monitoring & Management Services (Pty) Ltd. and is a non-executive director of the Ethics Practitioners’ Association (EPA) and the current Chairperson of the EPA and is a Member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council. Cynthia is a published author having written two books on workplace ethics and an ethics guide. Cynthia has a BA and an MBA, MPhil in Applied Ethics (cum laude) and has been awarded the designation EP(SA) (Ethics Practitioner, South Africa) by the Ethics Practitioners’ Association.
Dr. Helper Zhou
Dr Helper is an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI), applying it across finance, small business economics, and ESG domains. His work has made advanced AI accessible to organizations throughout Africa. Dr. Zhou’s award-winning PhD led to Quantilytix, a platform democratizing AI for enterprises in developing countries like the African region. He supervises PhD students, serves as a Senior Business Advisor at Sigma, is an Honorary Research Fellow at UKZN, and sits on committees focusing on risk management and applied machine learning.
Dr. Carike Noeth
Dr. Carike is an ethicist and the founder and owner of Full Circle Ethics. She has been involved with tertiary education since 2014 and believes that education holds the key to a better future. She is also a research fellow at Stellenbosch University. Her career goal is to associate and align herself with companies, organisations, institutions, and NPO’s with a robust ethical focus. She is dedicated to promoting and achieving the kind of societal morality that will bring about a significant impact on social transformation, ethical awareness, and basic moral decision-making.
